NJ Six Flags Adventure Guide and Review (For the Brave)

I visited Six Flags in New Jersey during a weekday in the summer, mainly encountering students on vacation. The wait times for each ride ranged from 5 to 40 minutes, but after 5 PM, the lines became much shorter as many student groups led by teachers left early. Tips: Unlike in some other places, certain rides require you to store your belongings in a paid locker before queuing. It costs $2 per use or $10 for unlimited access. I opted for the unlimited option, but only two out of the nine rides I went on required a locker, so it felt a bit wasteful. You can bring food and water; you don't need to carry much water as you can refill bottles inside the park or purchase water there. Remember to protect yourself from the sun—I was the only one with an umbrella, and I even saw someone with a sun hat umbrella, which was amusing. The Six Flags app is handy for checking the status and wait times of rides on the day of your visit. Note that the Kinda Ka ride often closes; it was closed on the day I visited. [Rides requiring a locker] — Joker p2: The first roller coaster you see upon entering, hence the longest lines. To avoid long waits, try other rides first. It flips you upside down and can be a good warm-up. EI Toro p3: A wooden roller coaster and the most thrilling ride in the park. Hold onto the bar to avoid hip pain from the jolts. [Rides not requiring a locker] — Sky Screamer p4: A high-altitude swing offering a comfortable view of the surroundings, perfect for planning your next ride. Batman p5: Just a regular roller coaster, nothing special in my opinion. Dark Knight p6: A roller coaster in a dark space that twists and turns. It's not inherently thrilling, but several times I feared crashing into the walls, which adds a psychological thrill. Nitro p7: Sponsored by Snickers, this roller coaster is quite thrilling. I found the descent from high altitudes very enjoyable, though I briefly blacked out, possibly from riding too many roller coasters in succession. Remember to rest! Roaring Rapids p8: A gentle rafting ride that will get your clothes wet, but they'll dry quickly in the summer heat after a couple of rides. Green Lantern p9: A stand-up roller coaster with significant resistance. My head kept hitting the side guards, causing a headache akin to being pricked by needles. After this ride at 5 PM, I was exhausted, with aches all over, and ended up napping on a bench. Drop of Doom p1: After a nap, I realized I still had time, so I tried the drop tower ride!
