Cape Ashizuri, located in Tosashimizu City, Kochi Prefecture, is the southernmost cape in Shikoku, and has many famous spots, such as cliffs jutting out into the Pacific Ocean and the beautiful pure white Cape Ashizuri Lighthouse. 🌊🪨 It is also known as a beautiful spot for sunrises and sunsets, and "Cape Ashizuri" and "View from Cape Ashizuri" have been awarded two stars✨ in the Michelin Green Guide Japan. The area around Cape Ashizuri is also associated with Kobo Daishi, and there is a rock on which Kobo Daishi is said to have written "Namu Amida Butsu" with his fingernails, and a place where he is said to have called a turtle to help him cross the sea.
