Bonneville Salt Flats

#usatravel #utah We had the chance to visit one of the most scenic places we've ever been: the Bonneville Salt Flats. It felt like we had traveled to another planet—what an incredible view. The Bonneville Salt Flats are a unique and expansive natural feature located in northwestern Utah, near the Nevada border. The flats cover approximately 30,000 acres (121 square kilometers) and are part of the larger Great Salt Lake Desert. As we drove past the vast, endless white salt flats, we were stunned by the grandeur and beauty of this natural attraction, which is a remnant of the ancient Lake Bonneville that existed during the last Ice Age. As the lake evaporated, it left behind a thick crust of salt. The flats are open to the public year-round. Visitors can drive on the flats (conditions permitting), walk, or cycle across the expansive area. We spent hours walking around and took many cool photos. As a result, this is one of the most memorable trips we've ever had.
