Cherry Blossoms Without the Chaos

#springitinerary If you’re over the crowded cherry blossom scenes and want something more peaceful, Tama Forest Science Park is a total win. Tucked away in Hachioji, it feels like a quiet nature retreat, and it’s packed with over 2,000 cherry trees, no joke. The cool part? They’ve got tons of different types, so the blooms stick around for a while, from early March to late April. It’s more of a stroll-and-soak-it-in vibe than a party spot, which is perfect if you’re into calm, foresty settings. The walking paths are easy, and the trees are everywhere, some towering, some lining peaceful trails. It’s seriously beautiful without trying too hard. Just a heads up, it closes early (around 3:30 PM), so go in the morning or early afternoon. Bring snacks, wear comfy shoes, and prepare to fall in love with cherry blossoms all over again, just without the chaos.
