Takamatsu Izakaya Review: "Niboshi Shokudo"

During my meal in Takamatsu, I found "Niboshi Shokudo" to be somewhat underwhelming. The restaurant is conveniently located and specializes in Japanese-style ramen and set meals made with dried sardines. The flavors themselves are not bad—the broth has a pleasant aroma, and the dishes seem to be carefully prepared. However, the disappointing aspect was the slow service. Despite visiting during a weekday lunch when the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, it took quite a while for the food to be served after ordering. Other tables around me appeared to be experiencing similar delays. It gave the impression that the staff might be insufficient in number or that there were operational inefficiencies. For those looking to enjoy a solid Japanese set meal in Takamatsu, the taste might make it worth considering. However, it may not be the best choice if you’re in a hurry or trying to make the most of your travel time. It’s better suited for visits when you have ample time to spare.
