Visit Taiwan Museum

#2月好地方2025 It rained heavily in Taipei all day yesterday. Coming to this museum not only allows you to learn more, but also allows you to appreciate the beautiful architecture. There are three floors of exhibition areas in total, and you can spend two or three hours to stroll around. The special exhibition on singing insects (Figures 3-7) is very interesting, and a video of cricket fighting can be seen in Figure 8. It was really fun to see puppet show idols, Cangjingren and Su Huanzhen (Pictures 10-11) at the puppet show (Pictures 8-11). The second floor has an introduction to Taiwan’s humanities in different periods (Figures 12-15). There are various animal specimens on the third floor (Figures 17-19). The most famous one in the museum is the Paleozoic Dragon Clam (Figure 19), a living fossil specimen. The hall is really beautiful, very grand and imposing. It is a rare beautiful museum. Founded in 1908, the Taiwan Museum is the oldest existing museum in Taiwan. The designer is Japanese architect Ichiro Nomura. The building style is based on the ancient Greek Doric style during the Renaissance period. The sturdy architecture and classical sculpture craftsmanship make it a rare architectural treasure in modern Taiwan.
