The counter at Tai Cheong Bakery offers a delectable selection of baked pastries for takeaway only. The more noteable ones are their signature egg tart @ $2.20, old school coconut tart @ $2.80 and the classic bolo bun @ $2.40. For me, I am an avid lover of coconut tarts so I will always get a box of 4, thereby nurning a small hole in my pocket for $11.20. The box is pretty exquisite though and is good as a gift to family and guests. The old school coconut tart features their signature cookie tart crust filled with shreds of dessicated coconut, infused with sugar syrup and topped off with a halved maraschino cherry. That little fruity touch brings each bite to whole level and paired with the chewy texture of the coconut shreds .... PURE HEAVEN ! So take my money already !
