Finding surprises on every staycation

For sure, Hotel Royal Newton was a hype back in the 80s, given their central location and facilities. It resembles the making of a resort style with their hotel facilities such as swimming pool, gym, karaoke, restaurants, hair salon, travel agency and etc within its building. With over 300 rooms, it caters to many people with different needs. Their suites (48sqm) are spacious and equipped with a living room. Their basic superior and deluxe rooms are also large in size spanning 30 sqm. You will always find their bathrooms equipped with bathtubs. The hotel is in a great location, you can walk to United Square, Velocity, Novena MRT all within 10 minutes on foot. Plus this hotel has a public bus stop right in front and you can go to Newton Food Centre and even Orchard Road easily. The swimming pool in the hotel is also great for swimming and can easily get a tan with the blazing sun. Just beware that the pool is 1.2m and 2.0m at their deepest end. The pool closes at 5pm so just try to book the swimming time slot early. Each time slot can allow for 5 persons. All in all, a great place to relax at very afforading pricing, convenient location and big rooms. I stayed in 3 different rooms types: Deluxe twin, Deluxe king and Family room (1 queen and 1 single). The bathroom was clean and the bathtub was usable.It was a great find.
