Live in the real Jiangnan! Shaoxing Hotel·Building 8 Executive Building Stay Experience

Continue to check in at state guesthouses across the country. Shaoxing Hotel was built in 1958. In fact, some of the historical buildings in the hotel are even older. It is also one of the more important and old state guesthouses in the country. It has been expanded several times in more than 60 years. The current area is already quite large. The newest area is called "Fushanyue". Although I bought a 2-night package for 1,200 yuan, it happened to be a weekend check-in, so I had to add 300 per night. Moreover, Fushanyue is quite far from the lobby and restaurant, and I have to take a shuttle bus. I simply booked a basic room for one night, which would be more convenient in the old area. When I checked in at the hotel, I was told that I could not upgrade for free, so I added more than 300 yuan to upgrade to the relatively new executive building in Building 8. Although the rooms in the executive building are not as new and large as those in Fushanyue, they are much closer to the lobby and can be reached in a few steps. It's just that the price of nearly 1,000 yuan on weekends is a bit painful. You need to walk from the lobby or take a shuttle bus to Building 8, which is actually only about a hundred meters away. It is an independent courtyard with its own waterscape and garden, as well as a tea bar similar to the lobby bar. The garden landscape is pretty good. The concierge service was very good. They took my luggage and accompanied me back to the room. However, I felt unhappy when I opened the door. It would have been fine if they didn't give me a free upgrade, but I paid for the upgrade. Shouldn't they arrange a room on a higher floor with a better view? As a result, it was arranged on the 2nd floor. See Figure 6.7. The room windows are almost completely blocked by the eaves. Not to mention that you can't see the view, it's also dark and depressing, right? After expressing my dissatisfaction, I was moved to a room on the third floor. The room had plenty of light and I could see the pavilion on top of Fushan Park, which was acceptable. The room should be less than 40 square meters and was renovated around 2019. The design language has traditional elements and a sense of fashion. The bathroom is on the right hand side of the door, and the bedroom is directly in front. There is a long side cabinet on the TV side that can serve as a luggage rack. The mini bar is poorly configured, there is no capsule coffee machine, and the tea bags are also average, which is definitely inconsistent with the room price. There is no stool at the end of the bed, but there is a sofa by the window with a small round table on which welcome fruits have been laid out. The bathroom has double basins and a built-in large round bathtub. The design here is a bit like a certain W. The bathtub is from Kohler and is quite large. It is a rare round bathtub that is comfortable and can be laid flat. The original Judy Kohl bathroom accessories have now been replaced with an unknown domestic one. The shower feels average. Although the toilet uses a smart toilet, the remote control has no response except for flushing, and I'm too lazy to report it to the hotel. As for the luxurious and elegant rooms in Building 8, which are priced at nearly one thousand yuan per night, it is still a bit expensive. If you want to stay there, you'd better wait for a promotion.
