Shaoxing Hotel was established in 1958 and is one of the oldest state guesthouses in China. It inherits the 2500-year-old culture of Shaoxing and integrates the exquisite elegance of Jiangnan gardens into the hotel. It can be said that the scenery changes with every step, and it is beautiful day and night. After several expansions, the Shaoxing Hotel now occupies a large area and has formed a siege on Fushan. The first picture is a bird's eye view from 500 meters high, which barely encompasses the entire hotel. The upper left corner is the original part of the hotel, the lower left is the newly built lobby, Building 8 and the conference center, and the right is the newer Fushan Yin and Fushan Yue guest room area. Going up is Fushan Park where the Yue King Terrace is located. The hotel still retains the original gate, which is antique. Not far to the left after entering is the Chinese restaurant, and then a series of restaurants and guest room buildings form the garden architecture of the hotel. At the entrance of the all-day restaurant, there are also homemade cured ducks and other cured goods from the hotel, which are taken out for drying during the day. The water scene of the corridor surrounded by the entrance of the restaurant, decorated with black awning boats, is also one of the most picturesque places in the hotel. The new lobby of the hotel is magnificent, with a high ceiling, a central skylight, and a large chandelier like a hanging galaxy, which retains the national style and is not lacking in modernity. The chandelier in the lobby bar is also very beautiful. Although the hotel was built in 1958, walking in the hotel garden will see some older buildings, such as Lingxiao Pavilion, the former residence of Ming Dynasty censor Han Yike, and the former residence of Republican historian Fan Wenlan, etc. Next time I have a chance, I still have to stay in the guest rooms on the Fushan Yue side again.
