New Landmark in Shanghai - Binjiang Commercial Center

Last weekend, I went to Jin Chao 8 Nong to watch the Chaozhou Yingge Dance (last picture). The place was packed with people, which is rare in recent years. It's not that people in Shanghai are not interested, but because of the limitations of space and venue, there are too few folk activities that can make people excited. I accidentally discovered that the Binjiang Commercial Center next to it has quietly opened. The exterior looks like a quartz slice, with clear architectural textures and distinctive features. There are corridors and walkways outside connecting each floor, allowing you to peek into the interior of the temporarily closed "Yingchuan Jilu" and look far into the "Bank of China Building" (which once served as the Shanghai office of Columbia Pictures and MGM). The commercial center is quite large, but there are not many businesses settled in yet, mainly focusing on creative living. There is an indoor slide on the first floor, allowing children to go directly to the underground floor. There is also an ancient stage on the outdoor seventh floor. Currently, there is a theme of "Walking with Beauty," presenting scenes from eight classic films of the Shanghai Animation Film Studio, such as "Gudu Came," "The Story of New Year's Eve," "No Brain and Unhappy," "Cao Chong Weighs an Elephant," "Little Tadpoles Looking for Their Mother," "Little Carp Jumping Over the Dragon Gate," etc. Each one is a childhood favorite, bringing back memories and reliving the classics. With the Spring Festival approaching, the exterior decoration of the spirit snake is grand and festive. Next to it are the Ba Jin Library (formerly Yinhong Garden) and the Shanghai Art Center (formerly the Royal Hotel), which are worth visiting together.
