In 1959, Xu Guangqi's tomb was announced as a Shanghai cultural relic protection unit by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. On January 13, 1988, Xu Guangqi's Tomb was announced as the third batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council of the People's Republic of China.
