This ancient town has just been restored, but it's not completely built yet... There is still a long stretch of road in the middle that is under construction... The town was formed as a village in the Northern Song Dynasty, originally called Huibo Village, and renamed Qijian Village in the Southern Song Dynasty. It was not until the mid-Yuan Dynasty that it was officially named "Sijing" because four jings, Waipo Jing, Tongbo Jing, Dong Jing, and Zhang Jing, converged here. Tao Zongyi, a literary figure at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, brought his family here to live in seclusion and built the "Nancun Caotang" south of the Sijing River; Sun Daoming, a book collector, built the "Yingxue Studio" north of the Sijing River.
