Hobart in 72 Hours: Art, Eats & Epic Views!

📅 Itinerary Day1: Arrived in Hobart at night and enjoyed dinner at Wrest Point’s Broadwalk Bistro—delicious food and a great way to settle in. Ended the evening with cocktails at the Birdcage Bar, which set the tone for a fun trip! Day2: Started the day with coffee at Rosie in My Midnight Dreams (right above the ferry dock—super convenient!). Took the ferry to MONA and spent hours exploring the incredible art. Dinner was at Bar Wa Izakaya—absolutely delicious, with friendly service (just note, some dishes take a bit longer, so don’t go if you’re in a rush). After dinner, I headed out to Port Arthur for the Ghost Tour—spooky, fascinating, and a highlight of my trip! To wind down, I checked out the Green Room Bar at Wrest Point (which was pretty quiet for a Saturday night), then moved to the Birdcage Bar where the live music and vibrant atmosphere made for a perfect end to the night. Day3: Breakfast at Waterline Brooke Street Pier Lounge Bar & Eatery was a treat—gorgeous bay views, delicious food, and perfect coffee. After breakfast, I explored Salamanca Market and found the perfect souvenir to remember my trip—a true local treasure! Finished the trip with a drive up to Mount Wellington, where the panoramic views above the clouds absolutely blew my mind. You have to see it to believe 🏨 Accommodation Stayed at Wrest Point. The view of the bay from my room was absolutely beautiful. The room was spotless, and the bed was so comfortable—I slept like a dream every night! 🍴 Food Recommendations • Broadwalk Bistro: Great for a relaxed dinner on arrival. • Birdcage Bar: Lively atmosphere, creative cocktails, and live music. • Green Room Bar: Quieter vibe; may not be the best for weekend nights. • Rosie in My Midnight Dreams: Perfect coffee spot before sightseeing. • Bar Wa Izakaya: Delicious Japanese food and great service—just allow extra time for some dishes. • Waterline Brooke Street Pier Lounge Bar & Eatery: Breakfast with a stunning view! 📌 Tips • Take the ferry to MONA for a scenic ride and an unforgettable museum experience. • Book the Port Arthur Ghost Tour in advance—it’s a must-do! • Mount Wellington can get chilly—bring a jacket, and don’t forget your camera. • For a lively night out, the Birdcage Bar is the place to be. • Don’t miss Salamanca Market for unique local finds and a vibrant atmosphere.
