Taiwan｜Heading South to Kenting, Passing Through Pingtung, This Small Fishing Port is Unbelievable!

This time returning to Taiwan, I finally arranged a trip to Kenting. We set off from the central region, heading all the way south. Along the way, I kept thinking, it would be such a waste to go straight to Kenting. We have to pass through so many places, and I haven't been to any of them yet. So, we decided to slow down and not rush. First, we went to Tainan to eat the famous Oden. The Oden, wrapped in thick soup and sweet in taste, had a unique flavor. Then we drove to Donggang to eat seafood. Because it was the season for bluefin tuna, which is known as the "top ingredient in the deep sea." And Donggang is known as the "hometown of bluefin tuna" in Taiwan. You can buy seafood yourself and have it cooked at the restaurant for a cooking fee, or you can directly enjoy seafood freedom at the sashimi shops in the market. There are many sashimi shops in the market. We found one that looked relatively clean and had good business. We ordered a portion of bluefin tuna, sushi, salmon, and miso soup. The thick-cut fish slices, wrapped in the taste of the ocean, were sent into the mouth in one bite, as if you could still hear the sound of the waves. The most interesting was the caramel salmon sushi. From a distance, you can see a yellow church rising on the blue sea horizon. It must be it! This sea cafe, converted from a church, seems to have not been in business for long, but many people come here every day. The cafe is reservation-based. We visited on a whim and were lucky enough to be arranged for entry. Almost all the seats were taken, leaving the best spot for taking photos. The best experience of checking in at popular spots in Taiwan is that everyone is considerate, never occupying the spot for too long, and when you are taking photos, everyone consciously stands far away, afraid of blocking or getting into your shot. The traditional virtues of gentleness, respect, and humility are really well preserved in Taiwanese people.
