Phra Samut Chedi, Samut Prakan 🙏Locals call this place Phra Chedi Klang Nam because in the past, the area where Phra Samut Chedi was built was an island surrounded by water. However, later, the right bank of the river extended out and connected to it, so it is no longer an island. 🙏It was built during the reign of King Rama II. He built a great pagoda on the island in the middle of the water and named it "Phra Samut Chedi". However, it was not completed until the end of the previous reign. Later, King Rama III ordered the construction of a 20-meter-high pagoda until it was completed. In the reign of King Rama IV, he changed the shape of the pagoda and made it even higher, making it 38 meters tall.
