Phra Samut Chedi - Samut Prakan

Beautiful temple in Samut Prakan, located in Village No. 3, Ban Chedi, Pak Khlong Bang Pla Kot Subdistrict, Phra Samut Chedi District, Samut Prakan Province. It is located opposite the Samut Prakan Provincial Hall. It is a famous temple where people continuously come to pay homage. It is also a symbol of Samut Prakan Province because inside the temple is the Phra Samut Chedi or the pagoda in the middle of the water. Every year, Samut Prakan celebrates Phra Samut Chedi, the city's sacred place, on the 5th waning day of the 11th lunar month. A large red cloth is placed on a pavilion and paraded around the city and along the Chao Phraya River to Phra Pradaeng District. The procession then returns to perform a clockwise ceremony and bring a cloth to cover Phra Samut Chedi.
