This isn't just any old house; it was actually designed by the celebrated British landscape painter J.M.W. Turner himself and built in 1813. This charming residence served as Turner's personal retreat, a place where he could escape the bustling London art scene, paint in peace, and spend time with his father. While the museum isn't large, it's clear they put a lot of thought into making the experience interactive and engaging: In the bedroom, I looked through a telescope, and it showed me a projection of the very landscape that inspired Turner outside his window back in the day. How cool is that? The living room has a unique clock that actually "speaks"—a delightful surprise! The basement features a vivid and immersive projection display, really bringing the history and atmosphere to life. Planning My Visit: It's open Wednesday to Sunday, from 12 PM to 4 PM.
