Phra Nang Ruea Lom Temple

Wat Koo (Phra Nang Ruea Lom), Nonthaburi Province It is an old temple in Nonthaburi Province. It is said that it was built in the Thonburi period. There is Luang Pho Samret as the principal Buddha image in the new chapel of Wat Koo. The pure white Buddha image is in the subduing Mara posture. There is also Luang Pho Somwang, a reclining Buddha image or the Buddha image in the posture of appeasing Asura Indrahu, which is hundreds of years old. It is enshrined in the open-air chapel at the entrance to the temple. In the old chapel, there is Luang Pho Somprathan as the principal Buddha image. The ceiling is painted with floral patterns. There are historical Mon murals, but they are currently damaged and faded. In the building inside by the river, there is the shrine of Phra Tamnak Phra Nang Sunantha, which is a replica of the Chaturamuk Pavilion of Phra Thinang Aisawan Thiphya-asan at Bang Pa-in Palace, which was her favorite place.
