Wat Luang Ayutthaya to Nonthaburi

#triptravelchina - Wat Khemaphirataram is an ancient temple built in the Ayutthaya period or before the Ayutthaya period. King U Thong renovated and restored it as a royal temple in the Ayutthaya period. In the Rattanakosin period, Wat Khemaphirataram was a temple under the royal Kathin account of Somdet Phra Bowonratchao Maha Senanurak. - During the reign of King Phra Phutthaloetla Naphalai, Somdet Phra Sri Suriyenthra Boromarajini ordered Somdet Chao Fah Mongkut, the royal son (who later ascended the throne as King Rama IV) to visit Somdet Phra Bowonratchao Maha Senanurak to ask for Wat Khema to be the temple for the Kathin ceremony of Somdet Phra Sri Suriyenthra Boromarajini. After that, he donated royal funds to renovate Wat Khema along with inviting the old cast Buddha image from Chandrakasem Palace in Ayutthaya to be enshrined as the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall and held a celebration in 2371 B.E.
