The pyramids were beyond imagination in size and sophistication, and I couldn't help but be amazed by the technology of the ancient Egyptians. The Sphinx was so mysterious and magnificent that I couldn't take my eyes off it. It was a truly special experience to actually walk through a place I had only seen in history and feel the breath of antiquity.
