Remember 1910

Located at the center of Lee Seok-young Square, REMEMBER 1910 is a space dedicated to commemorating the patriotic spirit of Lee Seok-young and his six brothers, who went into exile in China after the Japanese annexation of Korea in 1910. It honors their determination to restore national sovereignty and their noble act of donating their entire fortune to establish the Shinheung Military Academy. This place also serves as a symbolic site of 'noblesse oblige.' During my visit, I learned about Lee Seok-young for the first time, and his spirit deeply moved me.
