A majestic shrine standing on the blue sea

#aprilblooms As the name suggests, it is an old shrine built on a quay protruding from the blue sea, and it is known as "Nanmin-san" by the locals. Although its origin is unknown, it is said that it began with a place of worship that prayed for good catch and abundance to the gods of the ideal village "Nirai Kanai", which is believed to be on the other side of the sea. The vermilion-coloured worship hall full of Okinawan tropical mood is a must-see. The enshrined deities are Izanami no Mikoto, Hayatama no Mikoto, and Kotosakao no Mikoto Kumano Sanjin. Since it enshrines the goddess Ini Ranson, it is said that it is beneficial to pray for love fulfilment and good marriage.
