Macau's Glittering Christmas Night Market and Light Show
Every year during Christmas, Senado Square in Macau transforms into a festive Christmas night market. The square is adorned with a giant Christmas tree, sparkling lights, and various Christmas decorations, making it feel like a fairy tale world. The night market features a variety of stalls selling Christmas gifts, handicrafts, and food, attracting a large number of locals and tourists. Here, you can taste traditional Christmas delicacies such as mulled wine, gingerbread, and roasted chestnuts, and purchase unique Christmas gifts. The night market also hosts various performances and activities, such as Christmas choirs, street performers, and a children's play area, ensuring the whole family can enjoy the festive atmosphere.
Just a short walk from the night market is the Ruins of St. Paul's Light Show. Every winter, the Ruins of St. Paul's are illuminated with colorful lights, creating a spectacular light and shadow effect. The light show typically features various themed light displays, using advanced projection technology to turn the Ruins of St. Paul's into a giant canvas showcasing beautiful patterns and animations. These light effects not only enhance the festive atmosphere but also attract a large number of visitors to admire and take photos.
The next Christmas Night Market at Senado Square and the Ruins of St. Paul's Light Show will be held from mid to late December 2024. Specific dates and event details will be announced later by the Macau Government Tourism Office. This is a festive event not to be missed, where both locals and tourists can experience the rich Christmas atmosphere and spectacular light show.

We always seen these lovely scene from Hong Kong movies or dramas where this is a remain door of a church from the world war - Ruins of St Paul in Taipa.
Never expect that there is such a huge crowd at that area and then come to notice that there is a small signing event from a singer.
However, this town is full of heritage and the vibe that will carry you away from the reality!
Macau is so chill~
This time I came to Macau and prepared afternoon tea for my girlfriend~
It's in the Jin Yin Dao Mall~ I booked afternoon tea at the Swan Lake Western Restaurant on the second floor🫖
I did some research before and found that the view here is beautiful, you can see Nanhu Bay and Macau Tower!
And the food is delicious😋
I didn't expect that there would be Mid-Autumn Festival lanterns by the lake at night
The 8m high moon is very photogenic
It's so chill to walk in the wind and enjoy the lights!
The mall also has a check-in light decoration sharing and gift exchange event
And there is a free gift distribution event from 7-9pm

A must-try BBQ restaurant in Macau. 1.8 per skewer.
A hidden gem of a Chinese BBQ restaurant I found while planning my trip.
It's the king of cost performance and the ingredients are very fresh.
Black pepper beef rib skewers, lamb skewers, and pork belly skewers are a must-try!
They're not greasy at all and the portions are generous.
They're currently running a buy one get one free promotion on draft beer.
I like the passion fruit wheat beer.
It's very refreshing when served chilled.
📍Night Talk BBQ

Opening hours: 18:00-3:00
Macau is so romantic! I found a free Mid-Autumn Festival moon viewing spot.
Macau's Golden Island Shopping Mall is so romantic. I came here with my girlfriends for afternoon tea and found a huge moon on the lawn downstairs. At night, the lights are on and the Macau Tower is in the background. The photos are amazing and it's free!
The afternoon tea I had with my girlfriends was also very good. It was at the Swan Lake Western Restaurant on the second floor of the hotel. On one side is Nam Van Lake, and on the other side is the Macau Tower. The view is really amazing!! You can take a lot of beautiful photos here.
I suggest you come here for afternoon tea and stay until around 7pm when the lights are on. It's even more romantic after nightfall. The mall also has a check-in light decoration sharing event to exchange gifts. Every night from 7-9pm, there are free gifts from the bear. Everyone, go check in!
A great deal in Macau!!!
Just over 100! Afternoon tea with a view of Macau Tower

🇲🇴Macau Stall Recommendation
1️⃣Win to porridge
Every time I come to Macau, I will go to the old shop, and the scallops are very big and tender!
Shrimp slip cuttlefish slip must be ordered! Fried beef river also has a lot of pot gas
2️⃣Fengcheng Kangji
A big stall strongly recommended by local friends, the scale is very large! Their seafood pork bone hot pot is really a must-order! But the portion is huge, and this pot is enough for four people!
3️⃣Churchill Restaurant
Afternoon tea on the first floor of the London Hotel, with a super Alice in Wonderland atmosphere! The meals are well matched and the portions are very generous! There will be fairy tale characters interacting in the middle
4️⃣Jinfulong Portuguese Steak Tea Restaurant

🥘Restaurant: Macau's ice room, tea restaurant, Portuguese cuisine, seafood hot pot are all great, fresh ingredients and generous portions, and basically support mobile payment, but some small shops also have a one-to-one exchange rate
A Budget-Friendly Café in Taipa, Macau
This café is located on Rua do Cunha in Taipa, Macau. I visited during a weekday lunch, and the prices were quite reasonable. The food was also delicious 😳😳. The lunch set even includes a drink, making it a great deal!
✨Garlic Clam Vermicelli (💰:78)
There were so many clams 😍. I initially thought there would be only a few, but I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion. The clams were fresh and sand-free, and the vermicelli absorbed all the clam juice, making it very flavorful 😋.
✨Smoked Salmon Garlic Olive Oil Pasta (💰:78)
This dish was a bit dry with less oil, but it had a strong garlic aroma. The smoked salmon slices were also quite large 👍.
✨Thai Milk Tea Brown Sugar Pearl Soufflé Pancake (💰:128)
The pancake was soft and fluffy with an airy texture. The Thai milk tea cream on top was rich and had a moderate sweetness. The pearls could be mixed in for an extra treat 🥰.
✨Honey Yuzu Lemon Tea (extra 💰10)
This large drink can be shared by 2-3 people. The lemon tea was very fresh with just the right amount of sweetness. It had a light honey flavor, and the yuzu made the lemon tea even more refreshing and thirst-quenching.

A Must Visit in Macau , Capturing the Parisian Charm!
#photolocation
The Parisian Macau is a photographer’s dream, with plenty of picturesque spots. The iconic half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower is the highlight, especially when it lights up at night, offering a beautiful backdrop for photos.
The fountain in front of the tower adds to the charm, making it a perfect spot for those looking for that Parisian vibe. The lobby, with its opulent chandeliers and French-inspired décor, is also a great place for indoor shots.
Around the resort, you’ll find elegant streetscapes and boutique-style corners that capture the essence of Paris in every frame.
It’s definitely my must go photo location when I visit Macau!

🔸This time in Macau, I specially visited an exhibition I love, the LV luggage tunnel exhibition, located in the corridor from The Parisian Macao shopping center to The Shoppes at Four Seasons. The Louis Vuitton "Memories of Trunks" exhibition, themed around travel trunks, showcases many fine pieces, and at the end of the tunnel, there is a new LV store.
-
🔸After the exhibition, you can follow the mall signs towards The Londoner. On the first floor of The Londoner shopping center, there is a Royal Guard figurine next to the LV boutique kiosk. It's so cute that I couldn't resist taking a photo with it.
-
🔸Passing by the Churchill Boutique in The Londoner, I saw this year's Mid-Autumn Festival limited editions: Red Telephone Booth Mooncakes and Moon Rabbit Mooncakes. The packaging is very exquisite, a perfect blend of Chinese and British styles, a must-get for this year's Mid-Autumn Festival mooncake gift box! Churchill's cakes, bread, and handmade chocolates have always been my favorites. Their cakes are very delicate, and the Victorian-style restaurant interior is a must-try for those who have time.
The most worthwhile place to spend money in Macau!!!
I never thought that Chinese trends, intangible cultural heritage, and Chibi Maruko-chan could be combined together. Getting up close with our childhood cartoon characters is a very interesting art exhibition! The exhibition features 11 fun scenes, each with interactive mini-games to increase playability! Shadow puppetry, calligraphy games, AR technology, writing wish bookmarks, tea tasting, and more—each one is worth trying! Here, you can also admire traditional Chinese opera costumes with visibly exquisite craftsmanship! There are also small games like pitch-pot and cuju suitable for both kids and adults to play!
Oh, by the way!!! Authentic Chibi Maruko-chan merchandise!! They have it all here! Plenty of stock! Clothes, backpacks, folders, umbrellas, water cups, plush pillows, and more. Ladies! If you like it, you must take it home~

Macau's Most Affordable and Ideally Located Hotel: 'International Hotel'
Since the development of Taipa, I have rarely stayed at hotels on the main island. By chance, I wanted to stay close to Rua da Cinco de Outubro and discovered the newly renovated International Hotel in 2023. It's cheap, well-located, clean, and highly recommended!
🌟 The blue and white decor is bright, and the patterned tiles add a touch of exotic flair. A double room for one night costs around 500 HKD, which is quite rare in Macau. Although the soundproofing is a bit lacking, it's not a big deal unless you're a very light sleeper!
🌟 Right across the street is the Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16. If you're feeling lucky, it's just a short walk away. The best part is that it's super close to the snack street and the Ruins of St. Paul's, so you can hit up all the popular spots and attractions in one go. 💕
