Chapel Bridge, Switzerland

Chapel Bridge is located in Lucerne, Switzerland. It is the oldest wooden bridge in Europe. When it was first built, it was 270 meters long. However, because the riverbank has been breaking down over the centuries, the bridge is now 204.7 meters long. There are many paintings along the bridge that were painted in the 17th century. However, more than 2/3 of the paintings were destroyed in a fire in 1993. #TravelEurope ##switzerland
