Visit Laojun Mountain in Luoyang

Laojun Mountain (The Laojun Mountain) is known as the "Unparalleled Sacred Land, the World's Number One Immortal Mountain." Located 3,000 meters southeast of Luanchuan County, in the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties, Luoyang, it is the main peak of the 800-li Funiu Mountain, a branch of the Qinling Mountains, with an elevation of 2,200 meters. Originally named Jingshi Mountain, it boasts over 2,000 years of human history and is the oldest mountain range in Taoism. Laojun Mountain has six scenic areas and 179 attractions, including 16 temples such as Taiqing Palace, Shifang Courtyard, Lingguan Hall, Lincu Hall, Mu Yang Quan, Jiuku Hall, Chuanjing Tower, Guanyin Hall, Sanqing Hall, and Laojun Temple. Along the ten-mile cliffside plank road, bizarre peaks and rocks resemble giant beasts and eagles, complemented by ancient trees, medicinal herbs, and occasional sightings of rare animals, showcasing the wonders of nature. Climbing the mountain offers a changing vista with every step, and walking the plank road feels like traversing a painted scroll. Taking the cable car provides a bird's-eye view of the red leaves and snowy landscapes, creating a sensation of flying through the air.
