Hekou Wei in Hekou Village, Longnan, Jiangxi

Hekou Wei is located in the Hekou Village group of Daba Village, Wudang Town, Longnan City. It was built during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty (1821-1850) by the ancestor Ye Changhe, who moved from the local Gangshang Wei. It is a two-story square stone building, facing west, covering an area of over 900 square meters. The walls are 6 meters high and 4 feet thick. The entire enclosure consists of more than 30 two-story earthen houses and a watchtower. The main gate has a wooden frame and stone pillows, with small doors on the left and right. Inside the enclosure is a two-story ancestral hall with a wooden and earthen structure. In 2005, during the construction of the new village, it was repainted, and now it is uninhabited. It is an immovable cultural relic of Longnan County.
