#cherryblossom25 On a spring day, I embarked on a quiet journey to Shoho-ji Temple in Kyoto’s Nishikyō Ward. Walking slowly up the temple path, I was first greeted by weeping cherry blossoms swaying gently in the breeze, their delicate branches cascading like strokes from an ink-wash painting—dreamlike and ephemeral. Further inside the garden, clusters of deep pink weeping cherries (beni-shidare) bloomed modestly, adorning the ancient temple grounds with the most exquisite hues of spring.
