Nishiki Market Nishiki Tenmangu Nishiki Tenmangu is affectionately known as "Nishiki no Tenjin-san". It is dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning. It is located at the eastern end of Nishiki Market, known as Kyoto's kitchen, and in addition to learning, it also brings good luck in business prosperity◎ ■Seal stamps, three types, 300-500 yen ■Plum fortune slips, 1000 yen ■Daigan plum (plum version of votive plaques), 500 yen *Daigan plums are not offered as offerings, but can be taken home as a charm to bring good luck Nishiki Tenmangu is full of plums, including fortune slips and votive plaques. Plum trees are planted within the shrine grounds, and if you visit in February or March, you can see the red and white plums of the main hall, so it is recommended.
