Wulongkou Scenic Area, a mountainous scenic area featuring macaque hot springs

Wulongkou Scenic Area is a happy home for macaques and a magical natural sanctuary. It is located in Wulongkou Town, Jiyuan City. Wulongkou was originally called Qinqu Fangkou because the Qin Dynasty dug a canal here and used wooden beams as sluice gates. As early as the Eastern Han Dynasty, Emperor Ming of Han, Liu Zhuang, built the Qinshui Princess Garden here, and the ci tune "Qinyuanchun" originated from here. The romantic and unrestrained Emperor Yang of Sui heard of the name and came specially to visit Wulongkou. He feasted and enjoyed himself there and was so happy that he did not return until three days later. Bai Juyi, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, praised Jiyuan for its "beautiful mountains and waters", and Emperor Qianlong even called it a "famous mountain and scenic spot". This scenic area is cleverly composed of five major scenic spots: hot springs, Pangu, Qin River, Chouer Valley and Baijiangou. Wulongkou is also a nature reserve for macaques, and the scenic area is also rich in hot spring resources. It is a mountain scenic spot with macaques and hot springs as its unique features. It is especially suitable for people to come here for leisure and relaxation. From west to east, Wulongkou Scenic Area is divided into Pangu Scenic Area, Bihe Scenic Area, Hot Spring Scenic Area, Chouergou Scenic Area and Baijian Yangluoshan Scenic Area. In this scenic area, mountains and waters are interdependent, the scenery is charming, and it is a clear and beautiful place. In addition, there are the remains of Qin Dynasty water conservancy projects, silently telling the ancient wisdom; the quaint and quiet Pangu Temple, with melodious bell sounds and deep Zen spirit; the Cao Wei ancient plank road that stretches for more than ten kilometers, as if it can take people back to the days of war; Sima Yi's soldier hiding cave, mysterious and unpredictable; the Qinshui Princess Garden, which still has the same charm as before, is elegant and beautiful; there are also Xiangyan Temple, Yuan Gong Temple and other cultural attractions, waiting for tourists to visit.
