The current Xunyang Tower was rebuilt by the Jiujiang Municipal People's Government in 1987. It covers a total area of 2,000 square meters, with the main building covering 300 square meters and a construction area of 1,000 square meters. It is 21 meters high, with three outer floors and four inner floors, nine ridges on the roof, flying dragon eaves, and a corridor on all four sides, giving it a simple and dignified appearance. Xunyang Tower has the architectural style of a teahouse and tavern in the Jiangnan region during the Song Dynasty. The famous calligrapher Zhao Puchu's handwritten "Xunyang Tower" plaque hangs above the gate of Xunyang Tower. Visitors can drink tea and wine in Xunyang Tower, climb to a high place to look into the distance, and enjoy the style of the ancient city by the river.
