Cafe Ogibang

Located in Jeju's Hangyeong-myeon, Cafe Ogibang is a charming spot surrounded by scenic views and notable attractions, including the parasitic volcano Gamoreum of Hallasan Mountain. The cafe offers a tranquil atmosphere, making it a great destination for those seeking a relaxing place to visit. Upon entering, you'll find a framed picture of a rabbit above a child’s high chair, and large tables near the counter that can accommodate multiple guests. Ogibang specializes in roasted coffee and also sells tea bag coffee. The outdoor garden is perfect for taking photos, and there are soap bubbles that children can play with. During my visit, I ordered their signature menu items: Bo-yak Coffee and the unique dessert "Ireon Doenjang" (a tiramisu cake infused with coffee). While waiting, I took some photos of the interior. The cafe features wooden chairs and tables positioned to offer views of the surrounding fields, making it an ideal spot to visit during spring when the weather is pleasant. Even on rainy days, the cozy ambiance adds to the charm. Inside, there are tables for 2-4 people scattered throughout, making it suitable for families, couples, or friends. The cafe can also accommodate larger groups. The interior is adorned with various framed artworks, giving it a gallery-like feel. Sunlight streams through the large glass windows, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. With plenty of seating, it’s a great place to spend extended periods of time. The Bo-yak Coffee, a signature menu item, combines traditional Korean herbal tea (Ssanghwatang) with coffee, offering both flavor and health benefits. Upon tasting it, the herbal tea flavor was more pronounced than the coffee. The "Ireon Doenjang" tiramisu cake had a rich coffee aroma but wasn’t overly heavy, making it enjoyable even in larger portions. Pairing it with warm tea rather than coffee might enhance the experience.
