Concubine Lane

This is an alley with a history of a hundred years. The Malaysian mining tycoon Yao Desheng bought the entire street and gave it to his mistress (also known as concubine) to collect rent, hence the name. The two-storey shophouses on both sides of this old street are over a hundred years old. The distance between the shophouses is only 5 feet, which used to be enough to accommodate only one horse carriage. It is said that in the past this was a place where rich people enjoyed themselves, and it mainly ran some shady businesses. After being silent for many years, the reborn Concubine Lane has been transformed into a cultural street. In addition to handicraft shops, homestays, local product shops, etc., there are also many snack shops. It has now become one of the most famous tourist attractions in Ipoh.
