Seoraksan National Park | 설악산국립공원 is one of the most beautiful and famous national parks in South Korea. It can be visited all year round, and its beauty changes in each season. People like to visit the most during the autumn foliage season. This is one of the first places in Korea to see the leaves change color. On top is Sinheungsa Temple, an ancient temple over 1,000 years old, and it is home to a large bronze Buddha statue in a meditation posture. You can stop by to pray and make a wish. Seoraksan National Park has many peaks, but the peak that tourists like to visit is Gwongeumseong Fortress, because you can take the Seorak Cable Car to the top of the mountain to conquer the highest point and see the surrounding scenery in no time. The round-trip cable car fare is 15,000 won per person. If you have time and are physically ready, you can climb other peaks here.
