Bai Jian Lou, Nanxun, Zhejiang

Bai Jian Lou is located on the northeast side of the town, built along the east and west banks of the old canal. It is said to have been built by Dong Fen, the Minister of Rites in the Ming Dynasty, for his family's nannies and servants. It was named Bai Jian Lou because it originally had about 100 rooms. Bai Jian Lou is more than 400 meters long, with traditional black-tiled and white-walled buildings. The buildings are built along the river, and the river meanders with stone bridges connecting them, forming a long street with arcades, presenting a typical Jiangnan water town scenery.
