A unique Nanyang-style tea restaurant

On Saturday afternoon, I didn't feel like cooking, so I went to this nearby ice room for afternoon tea. I often see long lines here, so I've always wanted to try it. . This was my first visit, and I found the decor very nostalgic, reminiscent of Hong Kong tea restaurants from the 80s and 90s, perfect for taking photos. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, some of which are different from typical tea restaurants, including Thai-style noodles and Thai milk tea. . 🥢 Tom Yum Soup with Phnom Penh Noodles and Hainan Chicken Thigh: The Phnom Penh noodles are served in a Yukihira pot, which is quite unique. The Hainan chicken thigh is served separately, so its flavor isn't overshadowed by the Tom Yum soup. The chicken thigh is tender and reminiscent of the famous Thai chicken I've had in Thailand, with thin skin and little fat, very smooth. The Tom Yum soup with Phnom Penh noodles is slightly spicy and sweet, making it quite appetizing. . 🥢 We also ordered a Nanyang-style set meal. The noodle dishes come with various toppings like lemongrass pork chop, turmeric chicken chop, stuffed meat, garlic butter chicken wings, and Hainan chicken wings. We chose the lemongrass pork chop, which was firm, juicy, and tender. The soup base is a traditional sesame oil broth with bean sprouts and lettuce for added texture. We also paid an extra $5 to upgrade to Kaya toast, which wasn't too sweet and had a hint of coconut aroma. For an extra $5, it was quite worth it. . For drinks, I recommend trying the iced Yuan Yang. The coffee and milk tea flavors are well-balanced, complementing each other without overpowering.
