Hong Kong Free Study Tour - Take your children to learn about Hong Kong's fishery

🐟Today we went to the Little Fisherman Pavilion! I learned about the different farmed and native fish species in Hong Kong, participated in interactive games, and took home a lot of souvenirs! 🎁 We went to the "Fishery Museum" at the Lions Club Nature Education Centre in Tsao Hang, Sai Kung. The "Fishery Museum" not only provides the latest information about Hong Kong's fishery, but also incorporates many multimedia and interactive elements to introduce the characteristics of the local fishery through models, specimens, animations and interactive games. " 　　 The "Fishery Museum" has three themed exhibition areas, introducing the history of Hong Kong's fishery, the current situation of fishing and aquaculture, and the development of modern aquaculture models. The museum’s five mascots – “Mr. Yellow Lips”, “Red Shirt”, “Green Shirt”, “Yellow Pomfret” and “Blackhead” – are all representative local caught and farmed fish species. They will lead visitors to understand the local fishery from multiple perspectives. The exhibits in the Fishery Hall are rich and varied. Among them, the fishing vessel model and three miniature models (including a traditional marine fish farm, a semi-submersible truss deep-water cage and the Aberdeen Fish Wholesale Market) clearly demonstrate the operating methods of fishing and aquaculture in Hong Kong and the wholesale marketing of fishery products; the transparent fish specimen exhibition presents the unique shapes and skeletal arrangements of different fish species to visitors. In addition, visitors can experience the daily work of fish farmers through multimedia interactive games. There are other exhibition halls nearby where you can spend a whole day. Traffic Information Get off at Beigang Bus Station and walk to the centre.
