Jirisan via Seongjung, Legs on Fire, Soul at Peace

#summervacay So I tackled Jirisan via the Seongjung trail and… wow. Let me just say: it hurt in the best way possible. This hike is no joke, long, steep in parts, and absolutely stunning the whole way through. Started off all fresh and confident, thinking, “This won’t be too bad.” Fast forward a couple hours and I’m sweaty, snack-depleted, and questioning my life choices, but also in awe of the scenery. Forests, ridgelines, random bursts of wildflowers, and that crisp mountain air? Totally worth the burn. The trail had this cool rhythm, challenging but not soul-crushing (most of the time). Also, ran into a few super kind hikers who shared dried squid and jokes like we were old friends. Trail magic is real. Reaching the top felt like winning a mini life battle. Big views, bigger feelings. My legs were noodles but my heart? Full. Jirisan via Seongjung isn’t easy, but if you're up for the climb, it's one hell of a journey.
