Diecai Hill Scenic Area

Diecai Hill Scenic Area is located at No. 2 Longzhu Road, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Guilin. Diecai Hill is composed of four peaks: Yue Hill, Siwang Hill, Xianhe Peak, and Mingyue Peak. The mountain covers an area of 108,000 square meters. The mountain is composed of limestone and dolomitic limestone deposited more than 360 million years ago. The rock layers are stacked and colorful, hence the name. Main attractions • Diecai Pavilion: Built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, there is a couplet behind the pavilion. It is a good place to enjoy the mountain scenery. • Wind Cave: Located halfway up the mountain, the cave is cool and breezy, with cliff carvings and statues. • Xianhe Cave: There are cliff carvings in the cave, and different scenery can be seen at the entrance of the cave. • Mingyue Peak: The main peak, with an altitude of 223 meters. You can overlook the panoramic view of Guilin from the top. Tickets and opening hours • Ticket price: CNY 25 for adults, CNY 12.5 for students and children. Some special groups such as the elderly, soldiers, and the disabled can enjoy free or half-price discounts. • Opening hours: Daylight saving time (April 1 to October 31) 06:30–18:30, standard time (November 1 to March 31) 07:00–18:00. Transportation guide • Bus: Take bus No. 2 or 203 to Diecai Hill Station. • Self-driving: Navigate to No. 2 Longzhu Road, Guilin City. Travel advice It is recommended to book tickets in advance to avoid missing out on wonderful moments. The entire trip is expected to take about 1 hour. The light is soft in the evening, which is suitable for photography.
