Gariwangsan’s Peaceful Power Hike

#summervacay Gariwangsan was way more chill and majestic than I expected. Tucked away near Jeongseon-eup, it’s not super crowded, which made the whole hike feel kinda personal, just me, the forest, and the occasional bird squawk. The trail starts off easy but gets real pretty real fast, dense pines, mossy rocks, and patches of wildflowers popping out here and there. It’s got that quiet, ancient mountain vibe, like it’s been standing there forever just minding its business. The climb isn’t too brutal, but it does make you work a bit, especially near the top. Totally worth it though, the views from up there? Crazy good. Layers of ridgelines, clouds drifting low, and a breeze that hits just right. Took a long break at the summit with some snacks and just zoned out in the best way. If you’re ever in Jeongseon and want a hike that’s both peaceful and epic, Gariwangsan is it. Might even be one of my new faves.
