Does anyone understand?! I recently went to Songshan Lake in Dongguan and was truly amazed. After my trip, all I can say is that it's hard to find a rival in Dongguan! You can bring your own snacks and water. Food and drinks are also sold in the park, but bringing your own is more convenient and saves money. If you want to cycle, it's recommended to go early so you can choose a bike 🚲 in good condition. Travel Route Planning 1. Songshan Lake Misty Rain Starting Point Start from Songshan Lake Misty Rain, the signature attraction of Songshan Lake. As soon as I arrived, I was captivated by the scenery 😍 The sparkling lake water resembled a giant mirror, reflecting the rolling mountains in the distance, the blue sky, and white clouds. It was hard to tell if it was reality or a painting. Strolling along the boardwalk by the lake, with the breeze caressing my face, was so relaxing~ This is also an excellent spot for taking photos 📸. Any shot will be a masterpiece. Standing by the lake, with the landscape as the backdrop, the portraits taken here have a super atmospheric feel. 2. Cycling Along the Lake After renting a bicycle, embark on a cycling journey along the lake 🚲. Follow the cycling path along the lake, with the vast lake on the left and lush trees on the right. Along the way, you'll pass many uniquely shaped bridges, each with its own distinct scenery. When you're tired of cycling, find a bench by the lake, bask in the sun, and watch the occasional boats gliding across the lake; it's so relaxing. 3. Exploring the Dreamy Hundred Flowers Island Next, head to Dreamy Hundred Flowers Island, a world of flowers 🌷. Various flowers compete in beauty, with vibrant colors of red, pink, and purple. There are also many uniquely shaped flower sculptures, like small animals and castles, which are particularly interesting. Here, you can take photos to your heart's content. Put on a pretty dress and wander through the sea of flowers; you'll be the most dazzling one. Hidden Gems Unveiled 1. Finding Secret Corners by the Lake Near Songshan Lake Misty Rain, there's an inconspicuous path. Follow it, and you'll discover a small cove surrounded by trees. Few people come here, and it's very quiet. You can hear the clear chirping of birds and the gentle lapping of waves against the shore. Sit on the rocks by the lake and enjoy the tranquility, as if the whole world belongs to you. 2. Night Camping Experience If you're adventurous, try camping by the lake 🏕. At night, lie in your tent, gaze at the starry sky, and fall asleep to the sound of insects; it's truly a special experience. However, be sure to check the park's camping regulations in advance and bring enough equipment. Must-Visit Photo Spots 1. Rainbow Bridge 🌈 This colorful bridge is particularly eye-catching under the sunlight. Standing on the bridge, with the blue sky and lake as the backdrop, the photos taken here are incredibly vibrant and beautiful no matter how you shoot them. Whether it's a full-body shot or a close-up, it's all very impressive. 2. Viewing Platform at the Heart of the Flower Sea There's a viewing platform in the center of the flower sea on Dreamy Hundred Flowers Island. Climb up to the platform, and the vast flower sea unfolds before your eyes. From here, take an aerial shot of the sea of flowers, which resembles a giant tapestry, truly magnificent. Food Recommendations After a day of fun, it's time for some delicious food 😋. There are many great restaurants near Songshan Lake. I recommend a local Cantonese restaurant. Their signature barbecued meat platter, with its sweet and juicy char siu, is incredibly satisfying with every bite.
