The most beautiful natural scenery hotel in Shangri-La, go, go!

Because we were afraid of altitude sickness, we chose to fly to Lijiang and spend one night there, and then take a bus to Shangri-La via Tiger Leaping Gorge the next day. In fact, we only realized after we got there that there was no need to do this if we didn't visit Lijiang. We didn't have much of a reaction anyway, so we moved slowly, didn't drink alcohol or take a shower, and it wasn't a big problem. Of course, this varies from person to person, so do what you can. Day 1: Songtsam Linka in Lijiang (Pictures 5 and 6) This Songtsam Hotel is small and exquisite. Although the location is a bit remote, the check-in experience is still very good. The lounge area is beautifully designed, and the biscuits, hot tea, and hot towels will add points to the first impression. The room is also quite large, with a particularly large bed, and it is comfortable to live in, but the view is not that amazing. Day 2: Dukezong InterContinental (Pictures 16-18) I was quite disappointed with this hotel. I saw a lot of good reviews online before coming here, and it felt like the best hotel near the ancient city. However, the actual experience, service, room size, and decoration details were not very good. . The only good thing is the location, overlooking the Dukezong Ancient City is still very beautiful. Day 3: Yubeng Yolo Snow Mountain B&B (Pictures 12-15) It seems to be the most expensive one on this trip, but the quality and hygiene of the room are really not good, but it is understandable. The transportation in Yubeng Village is really too troublesome, and it is not easy for people to go in and out. You can imagine the difficulty of running a homestay here, so it is recommended that non-hiking enthusiasts and those who have high requirements for accommodation try not to live in the village. The cost-effectiveness is really not high. Go into the village early and finish hiking before leaving. Day 4: Meili Songzan (Pictures 1-4) The most satisfying accommodation on this trip is also the place where we encountered the first snow. It is a great memory. The Snow Mountain King Room is very large, equivalent to a suite, and the service level is still online. When they learned that we were coming back from Yubeng hiking, they specially prepared a foot bath bucket in the room, which was also very considerate. I really like this restaurant. It looks very cozy. The hotpot in Figure 3 was what we had after returning from our hike. It’s hard to describe the happiness I felt at that time. Day 5: Meili descends from the mountain (Figure 7-11) Before coming to Meili, I originally chose Jixiashan over Songtsen Hotel because it has a better location and there were already two Songtsen hotels in my itinerary at that time. I wanted to experience different styles, but it turned out that I couldn't book a room at all. A heavy snowstorm disrupted my plan. I originally planned to stay at Songtsen Forest Resort in Shangri-La that day, but the road was blocked by heavy snow and I couldn't get out. I wanted to continue staying at Songtsen Forest Resort, but it was fully booked that day. As it turned out, there was a house available when we got down the mountain that day! I decided to move here without hesitation, which was a perfect ending. But to be honest, the rooms and service details are still not as good as Songtsen. Although the style of Down the Mountain is beautiful and photogenic, Songtsen is actually more comfortable to live in. So it’s hard to choose between these two. It depends on what each person values ​​more. I didn't get to stay at the Shangri-La Songtsam Linka that I was looking forward to the most. That's what travel is like. There are regrets and surprises. That's the charm. It doesn't matter. I will definitely go to Shangri-La again! I haven't gotten over it yet.
