Staying at the Luxurious Li River Resort in Chongzuo Feels Like a Tranquil Escape Although I had heard about the beauty of the Li River Resort in Chongzuo, my recent stay there far exceeded my expectations! It was truly wonderful, like a tranquil escape from the everyday world. 1. The resort is remote. Located in Ming Shi Village, Daxin County, Chongzuo City, Guangxi, it's a three-hour drive from Nanning Airport. This remoteness helps protect the local ecosystem and adds to the resort's mystique. 2. The resort is secluded. Nestled between mountains and rivers, all rooms offer expansive views while maintaining guest privacy, thanks to the surrounding lush vegetation. Each morning, I was awakened by birdsong, the rustling of squirrels, and the croaking of frogs. Opening the floor-to-ceiling windows revealed a breathtaking landscape of greenery, and the air was cool and fresh. 3. The resort is beautiful. Built amidst stunning natural scenery, every vantage point offers picture-perfect views. The unique karst landscape creates a distinct beauty, with serene bamboo forests, sprawling rice paddies, verdant peaks, and winding rivers, like a magnificent landscape painting unfolding before your eyes. 4. The resort is excellent. The service is outstanding. Before check-in, a dedicated butler contacted me via WeChat, readily addressing any questions and providing daily weather updates and activity notifications. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a refreshing fruit ice prepared by a warm and welcoming Zhuang woman. Every evening, a captivating ritual takes place, with Zhuang men and women serenading guests from bamboo rafts against the backdrop of the picturesque landscape. Every staff member I encountered greeted me with genuine warmth. 5. The resort is luxurious. While the room rates are high, the rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with complimentary drinks and snacks, a daily fruit platter, and evening desserts. The toiletries are from La Bottega 22, featuring bergamot scents, and the appliances and bathroom fixtures are from renowned German brands. The common areas are luxuriously furnished and comfortable, with complimentary fruit, drinks, and snacks available throughout the day. The restrooms feature Fumar Perfume's Magnolia Summer Solstice collection. 6. The resort is entertaining. The hotel offers a variety of activities, both free and paid, such as bamboo raft afternoon tea, karst fireworks shows, Cloud Wine Cellar dinners, and an open-air cinema. There's also a dedicated tea room at Detian Transnational Waterfall, where you can enjoy fine wine and cuisine while taking in the magnificent waterfall views—a truly memorable experience. There's so much more I could say, but words cannot fully capture the beauty and excellence of this resort. My stay was a feast for the senses, filled with kindness and tranquility, a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
