Kawah Ratu

Hiking trails, world-beating and dramatic view, this is why you should put Kawah Ratu (Ratu Crater) to your travel bucket list. This crater is located on Mount Salak, which is part of the Mount Halimun Salak National Park (TNGHS). There are three official routes to reach Kawah Ratu, including the Gunung Bunder Camping Ground, Pasir Reungit, and Cangkuang Camping Ground. The Pasir Reungit route is the most favorite, because it has a shorter hiking trail only 3.6 km and takes time about 2-3 hours. Kawah Ratu is perfect for hiking lovers because the track is quite challenging. Every now and then you have to walk in a small river that has clear water, uphill slopes, and vibrant greenery. If you and your group are afraid of to hike through the forest, you can ask a guide to take you to get there. You just stay behind and let your footprints become tiny dots leave you. Your effort will be paid off until you reach final corner into the hot spring. Arriving there, you will be greeted by a puff of smoke, coming out of the mouth of the crater.
