Hokkaido | Shikotsuko Daiichi Hotel Suizantei | A Perfect Stay with Shuttle Service, Private Onsen, and Half-Board

This time, we chose to stay at "Shikotsuko Daiichi Hotel Suizantei" mainly because of its shuttle service and onsen facilities, which are very convenient for those of us who don't drive. 🚐 Free Shuttle Service (Reservation Required) You can reserve the shuttle service by contacting the hotel in advance. The fixed schedule is at 2:00 PM daily. After exiting the south exit of JR Chitose Station, you will see hotel staff waiting. The ride takes about 45 minutes directly to the hotel, making it super easy and stress-free. 😌 🏨 Room Type & View We booked a half-board double room this time. The room features a tatami area, and the window offers a stunning view of Lake Shikotsu, especially beautiful with the snow-covered scenery. In addition to the public onsen, you can also reserve a private onsen session for free once during your stay. Of course, we made a reservation! 😉 ❄️ Winter Ice Festival The highlight of visiting Lake Shikotsu in winter is the Ice Festival. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the hotel to the venue. Along the way, you can enjoy the lakeside view and the golden sunset, which is truly enchanting. 🍱 Dinner: Private Half-Board Experience Dinner is served in a private dining room, offering great privacy. The dishes are served gradually according to the guest's dining pace. Each dish is fresh and delicious, making you feel warmly cared for. ❤️ At the end of the meal, they even provide a box of inari sushi to take back to your room, so you don’t have to worry about going hungry. 😁 🍜 Late-Night Ramen at 10:00 PM From 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, late-night ramen is available. Although it’s just soy sauce ramen, eating it hot is incredibly satisfying and worth trying! 🍳 Breakfast: Set Meal + Salad Bar The next morning, breakfast is served as a Japanese set meal with a salad bar. There are various pickles, onsen eggs, miso soup, and other typical Japanese breakfast items. The most impressive dish is the soy milk hot pot, which is warm, rich, and highly recommended! 👋 Check-Out & Shuttle Check-out time is at 11:00 AM, and the shuttle will take guests back to JR Chitose Station at this time. Throughout the stay, all the staff were friendly and attentive. This is definitely a hot spring hotel we’d love to return to!
