Solo hiking in Chishui Foguangyan and the Great Waterfall Scenic Area

#trekking good scenery After returning from the ABC hike in Nepal, I went to Chishui alone for two days, just to see the red rocks called "Danxia". I took a bus and went to Foguang Rock for one day and the Great Falls for another day. The whole hiking process in the scenic area gave me the opportunity to see the scenery of the entire scenic area, not just a few scenic spots. Although the scenic area is not large, the lush and beautiful mountains and rivers in the south, coupled with the unique Danxia landform and numerous waterfalls in Chishui, make the natural red, white and green blend and set off each other, which is beautiful. #Chishui Foguang Rock The scenic area mainly has two attractions: Foguang Rock and Wuzhu Peak. The walking road in the scenic area is very well built, with cement slabs and guardrails. Even in relatively steep places, it is very safe, and the signs are obvious. There is a sightseeing bus from the gate to Liangcha River for 2.8 kilometers, and most people take the sightseeing bus. I met two people on this trail. There are green bamboo forests on both sides of the trail. Under the shade of bamboo, the road slowly extends upward. There are small paths rushing down between the rocks in the valley. The crisp bird calls can be heard from the mountain from time to time. The air is fresh and cool. I walked for an hour without realizing it. After arriving at Liangcha River, there are many people immediately because people who take the sightseeing bus get off here. From here, the road is divided into two, one to Foguang Rock and the other to Wuzhu Peak. There are no cars, so everyone must hike up the mountain. The plank trail between Foguang Rock and Wuzhu Peak has been closed due to landslides. From Foguang Rock to Wuzhu Peak, you must first return to Liangcha River and then go to Wuzhu Peak. Similarly, from Wuzhu Peak to Foguang Rock, you must first return to Liangcha River and then go to Foguang Rock. The plan of taking a circular route was shattered. I went to Wuzhu Peak first, and then to Foguang Rock, because the afternoon sun shines on Foguang Rock, and the scenery is more spectacular. To the best viewing point of Wuzhu Peak, the mountain to climb is quite high. There are endless stone steps. I was sweating a lot. I didn't meet anyone on the way. I thought I took the wrong road. Fortunately, I arrived at the "Best Viewing Platform of Wuzhu Peak" 20 minutes later. I found the most comfortable place to sit down, drink water, eat the dry food I brought, and then slowly looked around. I saw five cylindrical peaks. The rocks of some exposed mountains were red. Surrounded by lush green plants, Wuzhu Peak stood there majestically. Water, wood, fire, earth and gold are their names. Going to Foguangyan also requires climbing. There are many people on this road. You will pass by several small attractions on the way. You can climb and rest. After climbing up, you will reach the open Lotus Viewing Platform. Looking up, a thin waterfall rushed down from the red cliff wall. The mountain wind blew the waterfall away. The lush green plants around and the red stone wall and white waterfall interweave a dreamlike landscape painting. Locals say that in the evening, under the sunlight, the color of Chibi will become more bright red, more like "Buddha's light shining everywhere", and you can also see the word "Buddha" and Guanyin Bodhisattva on the wall. Foguang Rock is a huge, red, arc-shaped cliff, 385 meters high and 1,117 meters long. Its unique geological structure and landscape make it known as the "crown of Danxia in the world". This red color is the result of iron oxidation. Continue to climb up to the first and second viewing platforms, and see Foguang Rock and the waterfall up close. The water of the waterfall splashed on the body, and the best viewing point is the viewing platform on Jiudaoguai, where you can look at Foguang Rock and overlook the lotus platform. #Chishui Waterfall The scenic area has two main attractions: the Grand Waterfall and the Beauty Comb Waterfall. It takes 1 hour and 30 minutes from the parking lot to the Grand Waterfall Trail, which is about 4 kilometers long. Compared with Foguang Rock, the Grand Waterfall Trail is relatively gentle. On the way there, probably because it was early, I didn't see a single tourist. I only saw two sanitation workers carrying hair dryers blowing leaves on the road. I enjoyed the scenery and tranquility alone all the way, and soon I arrived at the Beauty Comb Waterfall, a waterfall that looks like a curtain and a comb. The waterfall does not rush down, but seems to be combed and flows gently. Continue forward, with sandstone red cliffs, green bamboo and green trees along the way, and finally see the big waterfall. People linger here from near and far, from the front and side. #Chishui Danxia Scenic Area consists of Foguang Rock, the big waterfall, and Yanzi Rock. When I went there, the area around Yanzi Rock collapsed and the bus could not reach it. The bus to the big waterfall had to detour through Sidonggou and Hongshiye Valley to reach it, so I couldn’t go.
