Riding the high-speed rail in China.

In China, there are several trains depending on the speed and seat class. The train with the same concept as Korea's KTX is called Gao Ti (高铁), and even within that, it is classified into business class, first class, and second class. Business class has very few seats per train.. It boasts a lot of space and service, but it is almost more expensive than economy class on airplanes. First class is about 60% more expensive than second class and is spacious. Second class is the level of the passenger cars we know.. I had a chance to ride this train from Qingdao to Shanghai last weekend. I was surprised by the comfortable and fast speed, the smooth ride, and the low noise. It took a little less than 5 hours to get to Shanghai. I think it was because of the city section and the curved section. At this point, I feel like there is no need to take a plane for travel within China. For train reservations, if you use Trip.com, the international version of Ctrip in China, it charges a small fee, but it has the advantage of being able to use the language and make reservations conveniently.
