There is no electricity. There is only solar power. Inside the temple, there is a standing Buddha (Phra Jongkrom Kaeo) and a reclining Buddha (Phra Nirvana) which are carved wooden Buddha images. The entire chapel is made of carved wood. There is a beautiful Naga staircase. Wat Luang means a large or grand temple. "Khun Win" is the source of the Mae Win River. During the time of the Buddha, the Buddha traveled to Suvarnabhumi. When he arrived at Wat Luang Khun Win, a farmer named Pu Lan asked for a hair relic from the Buddha and brought it to build a pagoda to enshrine it. In addition, there is a legend that in the future there will be a large tree standing dead. This tree will be used as a Buddhist offering and at present, this tree has truly come true as predicted in the past. There is a small stream crossing. Small sedans are not recommended. It should be a high-rise vehicle. It is recommended to take a local car. The pick-up and drop-off price is 600-800 baht per trip. You can park your car and get in the local pickup truck at Wat Sop Win. ⏰ Open 8:00-17:00 (You should come down before it gets dark because the road is dangerous.) 🙏 Prepare flowers for worship from outside.
