A walk through Jinligujie, the site of Chengdu's traditional culture

The entire street is decorated with traditional-style buildings, and the scenery of gray bricks and tiled roofs gives an exotic yet neat impression. The main route is lined with shops selling traditional Sichuan food and souvenirs, and the sounds of traditional Chinese instruments and performances flow out from every alley, stimulating all five senses. Although it is crowded with many tourists, the street is relatively wide and the shops are neatly organized, making it easy to walk. I watched a short preview of the Bian Lian performance, and the fast and rhythmic movements were impressive. The atmosphere becomes even more lively at night with red lanterns hanging all over the street. Jinligou Street is a tourist attraction themed on tradition, but it is a great place to walk around slowly because it has carefully decorated details and local colors.
