Underrated Shunan Bamboo Sea 2-day itinerary (save for later)

🌟 I've always heard of Shunan Bamboo Sea but never been there. I went there during the Spring Festival and found it quite nice. This 4A scenic spot in southern Sichuan is worth a visit! Spring is here, so it's time for outdoor activities. Hiking enthusiasts should definitely go! 🌟 Summary ✅ The place is very large, suitable for a 2-day trip. One day is too rushed. Tickets are checked at the entrance. There are many homestays and restaurants inside, and most homestays also offer dining services. ✅ Self-driving is recommended. You can drive inside, and the attractions are scattered. If you take public transportation, you can take a high-speed train from Chengdu to Xingwen, and then drive for more than an hour to get there. You can take a shuttle bus in the scenic area, but there are not many buses and the waiting time is long. ✅ The bamboo forest coverage rate is 93%, and there are bamboo forests everywhere. Climbing the mountain is very comfortable, and the oxygen content is high. Unfortunately, it rained on the day we went, so the visibility was not good. I personally like that it is very clean, the roads are easy to walk and clean, there are many trash cans, and even the toilets are very clean! ✅ There are mountains, water, and bamboo forests, as well as many historical and cultural landscapes, such as the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove and the Thirty-Six Stratagems. 🚗 Itinerary 1️⃣ Depart in the morning on the first day, check into a homestay at noon, and go to the Bamboo Sea Museum and Wangyou Valley in the afternoon. 🌟 Bamboo Sea Museum (20 minutes) Indoor museum introducing bamboo 🌟 Wangyou Valley (1.5-hour hike) Hiking enthusiasts should not miss it. There are babbling streams and a quiet environment. 2️⃣ Visit the following places on the second day. Unfortunately, it rained, so we didn't go to some places. 🌟 Emerald Corridor (20-minute hike) After driving around many bends, we finally arrived. It is a straight road with bamboo on both sides. There are also some special decorations during the Spring Festival. 🌟 Sea in the Sea (20-minute hike) The filming location of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, a lake. 🌟 Fairy Lake, Tianbao Village, Xianyu Cave (2-hour hike) Hiking enthusiasts who like natural scenery should not miss it. We entered from Fairy Lake, and after walking for a while, there was a river. You can take a bamboo raft across for CNY 5 per person, otherwise, you have to return the same way. ⚠️ There is an uncle at the entrance who shouts that you can enter from Fairy Lake. I don't know if you can enter from other entrances. ⚠️ There are Thirty-Six Stratagems on the big stones in this section. You can see the whole mountain opposite and the waterfall. It's very interesting. The last section of stairs is a bit tiring, so you can bring trekking poles. 🌟 Tips ✅ It may be cold and there are fewer people during the Spring Festival, so parking is convenient and there are no traffic jams at the attractions. Drive safely during holidays, as there are many bends in the scenic area. ✅ Some merchants will solicit customers to eat, so remember to ask for the price before spending. 🌟 My favorite parts are Wangyou Valley and Xianyu Cave. I will try to visit again in summer. It's a good place to visit in spring and a good place to escape the heat in summer.
